kalyanpura temple(bhooto ka temple)
KALYANPURA TEMPLE-
Jyotirlinga-
The shiva linga in kalyanpura is believed to be one of the 5 jyotirlingas in India, where Shiva appeared as a fiery column of light . The jyotirlingas are taken as the supreme, undivided reality out of which Shiva partly appears.
Each of the five jyotirlinga sites take the name of a different manifestation of Shiva. At all these sites, the primary image is a lingam representing the beginningless, symbolizing the infinite nature of Shiva. Even though there are believed to have been 64 jyotirlingas, twelve of them are considered to be very auspicious. In addition to the one at kalyanpur, the others are at Lalmandir (Datyana),pura mahadev mandir, aahar mahadev mandir etc.It is also said by the maharaj Sobhagiri ji that Parshuram ji did a holy worship here.
History-
The Kalyanshwer Temple ( Hindi: Kalyanshwer मंदिर) located in Kalyanpura near garh ganga brijghat in Garhmukteshwar on the western coast of Hapur, India, is the first among the five shivlinga shrines of Shiva.[1] It is an important pilgrimage and tourist spot for pilgrims and tourists. The temple is considered sacred due to the various legends connected to it.
Kalyanshwer मंदिर Temple is known as "Bhooto ka mandir".
The temple is open daily from 6AM to 9PM. There are 3 aarti daily; in the morning at 0700, at 1200 and in the evening at 1900.
It is also believed that this is the place where Krishna ended his lila on earth and left for his heavenly abode.
Timeline of destruction and reconstruction of the ancient Temple[edit]
According to the religious traditions documented by ayush jindal, the Siva temple at Kalyanpur was built at some unknown time in the past. The second temple was built at the same site by the Seuna kings of Lal mandir (Datyana) 649 CE. In 725 CE.
According to historians, the site of Kalyaneshwar has been a pilgrimage site from ancient times on account of being garhganga
There is no historical record of a temple. However,Parshuram ji II is known to have visited tirthas in Saurashtra, including Someshvara (the Lord of the Moon) at Kalyanpur, which may or may not be a reference to a Siva temple.even though some historians believe that he may have renovated a smaller earlier temple.
In 1024, the temple was built by some deviine ghosts between 1026 and 1042. yeah i am saying right it's a very suspicious thing that these five temples were built in same night by the some divine ghosts.By default these temples were not built completly means it's top were uncomplete.but early it is completed by villagers. This appears to have been a wooden structure,
Kanwar Yatra-
Har ki Pauri, thronged by Kanwarias, during the Kavad Mela, Haridwar.
The Kānvar Yatrā or Kavad Yatra (Devanagari: काँवर यात्रा or कांवड़ यात्रा) is annual pilgrimage of devotees of Shiva, known as Kānvarias, to Hindu pilgrimage places of Haridwar, Gaumukh and Gangotri in Uttarakhand and Sultanganj in Bihar to fetch holy waters of Ganges River, Ganga Jal, which is later offered at there. Ganga Jal taken from Sultanganj is poured on Baba Baidyanath at Devghar by Kanwariyas. The Yatra takes place during the sacred month of Shravan (Saawan) (July -August), according to the Hindu calendar. The Kanwar Yatra is performed by Shiva Devotees called Kanwariyas from Sultanganj to Devghar round the year. Earlier this yatra was performed in the month of Bhado, from 1960 the mela started from the month of Shavan and exted up to Dashara. Now round the year Kanwariyas take Ganga Jal from Sultangaj and travel a distance of 100 km bare footed and reach Devghar in Jharkhand. During the Basant Panchmi, Maha Shivratri and other important Hindu occasions, the number of Kanwariyas increase many fold. During a calendar year approx. 2 Crores Kanwariyas perform this holy journey.
The Yatra used to be a small affair undertaken by a few saints and older devotees until the 1990s, when it started gaining popularity.Today, hundreds of thousands of devotees from surrounding states of Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Rajasthan, Punjab, Bihar and some from Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh and Madhya Pradesh reach these places to participate in Kanwar Mela. In 2003, 75.5 million pilgrims reached Haridwar, with traffic growing each year. Heavy security measures are undertaken by the government and the traffic on Delhi-Haridwar national highway (National Highway 58) is diverted for the period. Nonetheless, huge traffic problems are created by these yatris.
